The third Conference of the European Biogas Association took place in Ghent, Belgium and saw an audience of 200+ participants. The conference was co-hosted by Biogas-E and the University of Ghent.
Main topics were the role of biogas in Europe’s energy and transportation policies, substrates, digestate and biomethane. The programme, with contributions by a record number of 47 speakers, 19 exhibitors and 33 poster presenters, was attended by stakeholders coming from 29 different countries. 56 participants joined the last day of the conference for a study tour to visit biogas plants in the region to the nearby facilities of Ivaco (Gistel) and Digrom (Ardooie).
With this conference we strive to unite biogas experience and share latest information on policies, industry developments, innovation and legislation. The fourth edition of the EBA conference will take place in January 2018 in Antwerp, Belgium. There will be plenary and parallel sessions on technical, economic, scientific and political aspects of anaerobic digestion and gasification. In addition you can join a study tour. Topics include biogas and syngas production, biomethane production, circular economy, sustainable raw materials, digestate, biorefineries and future markets.
