Florian Strippel studied “Management of renewable energies” at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf near Munich. During his studies he got in touch with the German Biogas Association in 2013. By the support of the Association he wrote his bachelor thesis about marketing opportunities for electricity produced by biogas plants without the financial support by the German renewable energy act. After his Bachelor thesis Florian Strippel began the Master´s program “Businessmanagement & Entrepreneurship Renewable Energy” and started to work for the German Biogas Association for the Department of Waste, Fertilisation and Hygiene. At the moment he is doing his Masters degree beside his work about economic possibilities for biogas plants in the framework of the new German renewable energy act.
